The Wounded Warrior Resource Center Web site (WWRC) is a Department of Defense Web site which provides wounded Service Members, their families, and caregivers with information they need on military facilities, health care services, and benefits. It supports access to the Wounded Warrior Resource Call Center and trained specialists who are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by phone at 1-800-342-9647 or by e-mail at wwrc@militaryonesource.com.

- Centers for Disease Control & Prevention Information for Women with Disabilities Health information for women with disabilities. The CDC's disability and health team has targeted women with disabilities as a major area of emphasis and works to promote their health and well-being.
- Clinical Breast Care Project (CBCP) Collaborative effort between Windber Medical Center and Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Project integrates prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment and continuing care with advances in risk reduction, informatics, tissue banking and research to decrease the morbidity and mortality of breast cancer among American women.

- October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month Breast cancer is still the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer deaths among women in the United States. The American Cancer Society reports that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, but regular monthly breast self-exams and yearly mammograms can aid in early detection, significantly increasing the chances of survival.
- Tricare Enhances Dental Benefit for Pregnant Women Article discusses the recent enhancement of the Tricare Dental Program that authorizes an additional dental cleaning for pregnant enrollees.
